Life of Claretha “Pinki” Brown Light

Pinki, affectionately called by family, friends, and those who came into her circle of associates. She loved people and enjoyed being around entertaining them with her humor. There wasn’t a dull moment in her presence. One of her saying was “If you don’t have anything good to say about someone, then keep your mouth shut, ‘cause it’s enough negative stuff going around in the world and we don’t need to hear yours.”

Born: January 3, 1935, Americus, GA. Second of two children

She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Robert H. (Clarice)
Brown Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Acquanetta B. Buggs-Stevens, Jane P. Williams,
a very special great grandnephew, Torey Thomas, Jr. 28 nieces and nephews, 41 grandnieces and nephews, 57 great grandnieces and nephews. The Johnson Family and a host of relatives, and friends.
Because Pinki never ends a conversation with “Bye” her closing would be “see you later alligator, afterwhile crocodile, you know I love you MORE.” Now, we will finally get the last word, WE LOVE YOU MOST…… later gator! We truly miss YOU.
