Dr. Clyde Emmanuel Alderman Jr. was born in Avon Park Florida December 6, 1962, to Dr. Elizabeth Watson Alderman, and the late Clyde E. Alderman, Sr. Dr. Alderman attended public school in Palm Beach County and graduated high school at Florida A&M University High School in Tallahassee, Florida. He accepted an athletic scholarship to Delaware State University and graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. He also received a Master of Science degree and a Doctorate of Education at Nova Southeastern University. As an educator, Dr. Alderman utilized his skills as a teacher for the Department of Defense Schools at Dexter Elementary School in Ft. Benning, GA, and previously at Diamond Elementary School in Ft. Stewart, GA. He was a former employee of the Palm Beach County School district and Florida A&M University.
To match his success in life, Dr. Clyde E. Alderman joined hands in holy matrimony to Carry B. Alderman on the iconic day of Juneteenth 1996 (June 19). And continued to be by her side as a loving husband for 26 years, honoring his commitment to love, honor, and cherish.
Dr. Clyde E. Alderman Jr. loved life and loved to travel. His competitive spirit never faltered and always was up for the challenge. As a former athlete, he always had a passion for football. He relaxed by punting footballs on Saturday evening, taking walks on the beach, riding bikes, scuba diving, golfing, and attending and watching sporting events. He had a talent for cooking and spoiled his family with his fine cuisine.
Dr. Alderman wore many hats in his life; being a father and a mentor was most rewarding. Dr. Alderman was always ready to help or advise friends, family, and even strangers. All that knew him always received a word of wisdom and a thought for success.
Dr. Clyde Emmanuel Alderman Jr. is survived by his beloved wife Carry, mother Elizabeth, sister Vicki, brother Rodney, his 8 Children Latisha, Rebecca (Tim), Clyde III, Barth, Carrie (Dale), Damian, Katia, and Dallas, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, 1 niece Azsa, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dr. Clyde E. Alderman Jr. will always be missed and loved by family, friends, and all that knew him.
