Obituary for Grace Hayes White

Grace was born in Boston GA, to the proud parents of Ishmael and Ellen Major on February 14, 1935. She was the fifth of six children. Grace was a loving spouse to Sylvester White (deceased) and a devoted parent too: Barry (Gertie) Hayes of Boynton, Bettina (Ken)Walton of Atlanta, (Barbara Gayle-deceased) Grady (Loretta)Hayes-deceased.

“Mama Grace” as she was affectionately known as by her grandchildren was a grandmother of eight LaTonya Holloway (Riv. Bch), Charlie Cox(Riv. Bch), Rasheeka Hayes(WPB),Sasha Turner(WPB) Robert and Tyson Hayes (Atlanta, Ga), P’avi-Elle and KJ Walton both of Atlanta. The Great Grand Mother of ten, Marvin Holloway(deceased), Khamani Hayes, Jermaine Taylor, Sariyah Tomberlin, Marques Latham, Markee, Mariyah and Marques Latham, Aaliyah and Kainen Cox and Kash Walton.

Grace was a beloved Aunt to a host of Nieces and Nephews whom she cherished and was always there to offer guidance and support. She cherished her family and always put their needs before her own. Grace was also a loyal friend to many and always had a kind word and a listening ear for those in need. In her free time,

Grace was an active member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and passionately dedicated her time with the Kitchen committee, Sister Hood, and various other organizations at St. John
Grace will be deeply missed by all those who loved her. Her legacy will live on through the impact of the lives of those around her.
