Obituary for Melvin Gardner
Melvin Robert Gardner 75 was born August 1, 1947 in Glennville , GA by his loving parents and nurtured by a village. On January 8, 2023 , Melvin entered eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, daughter (Teloria) , aunts and uncles.
Melvin “Stick” were proud to be an alumni of JFK High School Class of “66” and part of the prestigious swim team. He later attended the Job Corps in Lincoln Nebraska where he earned his degree as a A/C Mechanical Engineer . He moved to the Bahamas to work with RCA for several years before starting his Small Appliance Repair business called “Mr. G”. He later became employed with the City of West Palm Beach , where he retired in 2008 in Support And Mechanic Services.
Melvin enjoyed playing his guitar where he played in several local bands and would bring it to all his family reunions to entertain the family.
He also enjoyed watching tennis, spending time with his class alumni and socializing friends .
He is survived by his beloved daughters Ashley Gardner (Orlando, FL) and Kawana Brown (WPB), granddaughter Kaniya Brown, devoted sister Lorna Neal McNeely (Houston, TX), close cousins, special neighbors and longtime friends.
