Obituary for Olivia Cue Northern

Olivia Christine Cue Northern was born on July 28, 1949 in Hawthorne, FL to the late Elizabeth Jenkins and the late Oliver Cue. On May 29, 2022, at 12:14 p.m. surrounded by family at her bedside, the Lord saw that Olivia was tired and called her home to be at rest.

Olivia, affectionately called Christine by her family and friends, was an avid Miami Dolphins fan! She was the honorary family historian who always remembered everyone's birthday and special occasions. Olivia was also the family’s go-to person for pictures of loved ones and family events. In addition to spending time with her family, she loved scrapbooking and crossword puzzles.

Olivia dedicated 35 years of service to Lake Worth Community High School and ensured faculty, staff, and students had a clean, welcoming school environment. Not only did Olivia work at Lake Worth Community High School, but she also attended night school there and earned her General Education Diploma.

Olivia’s work extended beyond the church. Olivia was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 288 for over 30 years. During her membership, she participated in numerous community events to honor those who sacrificed to serve. Olivia was on the outreach team for H.U.G.S. (Heals, Unites, Gives, & Saves Organization) helping serve the homeless in the community of West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach letting them know that they are God's children and He loves them too.

Olivia was reliable in her service to people and she was a faithful servant of God. For the past 17 years, she was devoted to building up churches with her son, Bishop Shawn Boone, who was also her pastor at National Church of God, Riviera Beach. Olivia, also affectionately known by her church family as Mother Olivia, served as the Usher President, sat on the Mother's Board, and was the Birthday chairperson. As a representation of her leadership, Olivia made sure each pastor and their wives received a fruit basket on the Pastor’s Anniversary. Olivia took pride in ensuring the church was prepared for Sunday services.

Before Olivia was called home, heaven welcomed her brothers Timothy Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins, Eddie Ross, and Tyrone Ross.

Olivia’s precious memories will be cherished by her sons: Joseph Cue (Felithia), Erwin Cue, Bishop Shawn Boone (Veronica), and Chadwick Cue; grandchildren: Kendra Neloms, Brenton Cue, Nicole Cue, Christine Cue, Chante Cue, Erwin Cue, Erica Cue, Shandria Boone, Shawn D.
