Paz Hermenia Wingfield Scott was born November 19, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to Chisholm Wingfield and Verona Euther Taylor. She grew up with a host of cousins and attended Douglas High School. After graduating, she went on to attend Morgan State University and received a B.S. in Business. She taught business education in Baltimore City Schools before moving to New York.

Paz would go on to marry LeRoy Scott and they had one daughter, Leah. Paz continued her teaching career in South Carolina where she obtained a Master’s and Doctorate. She later moved to Florida where she eventually retired from the Palm Beach County School District.

Paz leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband LeRoy, her sister Estelle (Heathcliff) Dannie, her daughter Leah V. Scott, her grandson Noah, her church family at The Foundation of the New Jerusalem, along with a host of cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews
